What to Expect if You're Visiting
recognize that going somewhere for the first time can be a challenge, so we try
to make it easy for first-time guests to find their way and begin to feel at
home at Heritage.
You’ll find guest parking at the main entrance (look for the steeple). Come in that door and someone will be there to greet you and help you find your way around. Our facility is completely handicap accessible, too – you won’t have to deal with any steps anywhere in the building.
We provide a nursery for families with small children (infant through age four). We do not take lightly the trust it requires for newcomers to place your children in our care. We have several caring adults who are always present during childcare times. They are dedicated to providing a safe and loving environment for your children.
In both Sunday morning worship services, we have a children’s time for gradeschool and preschool children. We also offer Bible Blast, a child-friendly hands-on learning Bible study time from 9:45 - 10:45 a.m. Children love it – and there is always room for new friends to come at any time.
Sunday Bible study groups
You’ll also find Sunday Bible study groups for all ages (youth to senior adult) beginning at 9:45 a.m. on Sundays. With a variety of classes from which to choose, we’ll help you find a group where you will be comfortable exploring the Bible’s relevance to everyday life. We believe questions are an important part of learning, and we encourage open discussion and freedom of thought. We also find that laughter helps put everyone at ease for learning together.
Each week we offer two unique worship experiences. The 8:40 worship service features contemporary music led by a band (drums, guitars, keyboards and bass). The 10:55 worship service blends both traditional and liturgical worship elements, along with timeless hymns played on an organ and piano, responsive readings, and a choral anthem. Both services include scripture readings, prayers and practical biblical teaching.
Coffee and conversation
Just before the Bible study hour, we invite members, regular attenders and guests to share coffee, donuts and friendship. It’s an informal time to meet others and begin to feel at home. This fellowship time begins at 9:30 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall (the large room to the left after entering the main doors).
Whenever you first choose to come to Heritage, you’ll find a warm and ready welcome that we hope will put you at ease. The door and our hearts are both open to you.
