Wednesday nights at Heritage offer a time of
fellowship as well as learning for both children
and adults. The children participate in choir,
preparing to lead in worship, ministering to
shut-ins, and increasing their knowledge of music.
While the kids are singing, the adults are engaged
in Bible study and short courses centered on issues
we face today. There is also time to mention prayer
requests and pray for individuals on our prayer
list.
Adult Studies
Ephesians
Explore Paul’s message to the church at Ephesus and its timeless relevance to our lives as well. If you’re seeking encouragement in your walk with Christ, Ephesians helps explain God’s purposes for his people and how to walk in the way of Christ.
Led by Jeff Wright, Aug. 18, 25, Sept. 1
Dr. Thomas Slater
Dr. Slater, McAfee School of Theology professor of New Testament Language and Literature, will lead a study of Revelation entitled, “John’s Apocalypse as Civil Disobedience.” Often people look at the last book of the Bible and only think of calculating the end of time. It functioned in a more comprehensive way than that in the first Christian century. It exhorted Christians to keep the faith in the face of mounting regional repression "even unto death" (Rev. 12:11). Our study will look at the many ways this message can be found in John's Apocalypse.
Sept. 8-29
Global Missions
During October, the missions work group will take us around the globe as they describe opportunities to take the good news of Jesus Christ to people while also working to meet their physical needs as well. You’ll be amazed at how far-flung our missions reach is!
Oct. 6-27
